Therapy Fees and Payment Information
Anxiety Therapy in Chicago, IL
Reaching out for therapy is a meaningful step.
It is also completely normal to have questions about cost, payment, and what to expect before getting started.
This page is here to give you a clear and straightforward overview, so you can make a decision that feels right for you.
I want this process to feel clear and supportive, so below are a few details to help you know what to expect.
Session Fees
Individual Therapy: $210
Couples Therapy: $220
Sessions are typically 50 minutes and are held on a weekly basis, especially at the beginning of our work together. This consistency helps build momentum and creates a steady space for support.
Insurance & Out-of-Network Benefits
I am an in-network provider for Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO. If you have a different insurance plan, I’m happy to provide a superbill that you can submit for potential reimbursement.
If you plan to use out-of-network benefits, it can be helpful to contact your insurance provider and ask:
Do I have out-of-network benefits for mental health services?
What percentage of each session is covered?
Is there a deductible I need to meet first?
How do I submit claims for reimbursement?
Payment
Payment is due at the time of each session. I accept credit cards and HSA/FSA cards through my secure client portal.
Cancellation Policy
Your session time is reserved just for you. If you need to cancel or reschedule, I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice will be charged the full session fee.
I understand that unexpected situations can come up, and you are always welcome to reach out if something arises.
Why Clients Choose Private Pay Therapy
Some clients choose private pay therapy because it allows for greater flexibility and privacy.
This means:
No required diagnosis shared with insurance
More freedom in how we structure and pace your sessions
A more personalized approach based on your needs, not insurance limitations
We can talk more about this during your consultation if you have questions.
What to Expect
Starting therapy can bring up a mix of emotions.
You might feel ready, unsure, hopeful, or even a little anxious about taking the next step. All of that is completely valid.
You do not need to have everything figured out before reaching out.
